Mrs. Lois S. Harms, 83, 712 Jefferson street, died at 3 a.m. Friday in the Jasper County hospital in Rensselaer where she was admitted June 1. She had been ill several weeks.
Mrs. Harms was the wife of Clarence D. HARMS, a founder and former president of the Farmers & Merchants bank. He died March 1, 1968.
Mrs. Harms was born April 18, 1892 in Jasper county to Warren W. and Minerva FARMER SAGE. Her marriage to Harms was May 22, 1922, in Goodland. She had resided in Rochester 40 years, moving from LaCrosse. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist church.
Surviving are one brother, Harold M. SAGE of Rensselaer; three nieces and one nephew.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home. The Rev. Paul D. STEPHENSON will officiate. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery in Rochester. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
