Marjorie Rose Goldman, 89, died peacefully in her sleep, Thursday, September 30, 2010.

Graveside services will be held Saturday October 2, 2010, at Parkway Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 until 11 am Saturday at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home Highland Colony.

Born and raised in Duck Hill, MS, Mrs. Goldman was a graduate of Delta State University with additional graduate work at the University of Miss., Miss State University, and University of Southern Miss. Mrs. Goldman was a much loved retired fifth grade school teacher and principal. She will be remembered fondly by hundreds of former students, colleagues, and friends.

She was a member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church, Ridgeland, MS.

She is survived by her son, Frank B. Goldman; her constant companion, Lil, niece, June Johnson (Harold), nephews, Edwin Holmes, Greg Holmes (Cheryl); and five great nieces; and close friend, Luis A. Diaz.

Memorials may be made to Mississippi Animal Rescue League, 5221 Greenway Drive, Jackson, MS.
