Heather Renee Cooper, 16, was pronounced dead at the scene of a two-car accident four miles west of Remington at 4:55 PM Tuesday.
She was born Sept 2, 1974, in Lafayette. She was a sophomore at Tri-County High School in Wolcott, where she was a statistician for the track team and a member of the Band/Flag and Rifle Auxiliary, Drama Club and Spanish Club. She worked part-time at McDonald's in Rensselaer.
Surviving are her mother Rebecca Cooper; a brother, Shawn Cooper; her grandparents, Wayne and Lois Cooper; and aunt, Tammy Cooper, who all made their home together in Carpenter Township near Goodland.
