in the Flint area the last 50 years. He was married on October 26, 1925, to Maud S. Crooks and the couple
celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year. He was an active member of Fisher Body No. 2 UAW Local
598 and was employed by General Motors for over 40 years, retiring in 1968 from Fisher Body No. 2. Surviving
are: wife Maud; 4 sons, Victor Bennett of Flint, Robert Bennett of Scottville, Michigan, Donald Bennett of Mt.
Morris and Albert Bennett of Bay City; special son, James Wray of Byron; 15 grandchildren; 6 great -
grandchildren; brother Norman Bennett of Monterey, California; sisters, Alta Walton of Davison and Betty
Slocum of North Carolina; other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Emma (Goff)
Bennett and a sister Lillian. Brown Funeral Home Visitation 8 am to 10 pm.
