CARBONDALE, Ill. - Ada 'Twinkle' Johnson, 85, of Carbondale, Ill., died Friday, April 13, 2007, in Carbondale.
She was born on April 17, 1921, in Mansfield, England, to Sam and Ada (Toone) Starr. She married Charles Edward Johnson who preceded her in death May 26, 2003. Six brothers and four sisters also preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons and daughters in law, David and Kathy Johnson, of Carbondale, and Roger and Mary Johnson, of Athens, Wis.; three grandchildren, David, Bethany, and Jessica Johnson; and one sister, who lives in England.
There will be a Memorial Prayer service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at the Meredith Funeral Home, Carbondale. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Private entombment will be at a later date.
Memorials to the Jackson County Humane Society, 95 Humane Road, Murphysboro, IL 62966 are the preferred form of remembrance and will be accepted at the funeral home.
