Phil Lyons died at Mercer General Hospital Sunday night, March 1, after an illness of one year. A retired farmer, he was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Abe Lyons and his wife preceded him in death two years ago. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Betty Brown, Harrodsburg; three grandsons, Ben, Lee and Marcus Lyons, all of Harrodsburg, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at the Glave sims Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon, March 3, at 2:30 o'clock by the Rev. Evans T. Moseley with burial in Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were David Glover and John Lyons, Jr., Herbert Carey, O.C. Young, Sr. and Clint Edwards.
