BENNETT, Maud S.- Of Flint, age 91, died Thursday, May 21, 1998 in Bay City. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, May 26, 1998 from Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Rev. Mrs. Bernice Matejcek officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-9 PM Sunday, all day Monday. Memorials may be considered for Visiting Nurses Hospice of Saginaw, donations may be made direct or at the funeral home. Mrs. Bennett was born June 26, 1906 in Onaway, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Burley and Hanna (Hedgers) Crooks. She married Lawrence Bennett October 26, 1925 in Onaway, MI. He preceded her in death December 3, 1985. Maud had a avid love of her family. Surviving are: 4 sons, Vic and wife Donna Bennett of Flint, Bob and wife Ann Bennett of Scottville, MI, Donald and wife Dee Bennett of Mt. Morris. Al Bennett of Bay City; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; brother, John Crooks of Dearborn; sister, Mabel Post of Onaway; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters, Mary Minier and Bertha Layman.
