He was Born Dec. 25, 1937 in China, Maine, The son of Leeman York and Edith Wentworth Retcofsky.
He had worked for Sprint Telephone Co.
Survivors include his wife, Lola M Sparber York; two sons, Ben York of Boone N.C.,and Gary York of Ingleside, Texas; three daughters, Diane Kaszowski of Girard, Pamela Taylor of Liberty, and Susan Raisis of Port Richey, Fla.; a brother, Alfred York of Youngstown; two sisters Edith Patrick and June Dubiecki of Warren; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. And 2 Half Brothers, Ralph and Brian Tuttle of Athens, ME.
Private services have been held, and per Larry's request, cremation will take place.
Burial will be in Mount Rest Cemetery in Athens, Maine.
