He was the son of Dominico and Catherine (Vetrano)Cirillo. He married Enid P. Lodwick in Monmouth, IL on 24 Dec 1946.
He was employed as a maintenance mechanic at the former Red Jacket Pump in Davenport for 20 years retiring in 1990. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Davenport, AARP and Quad Cities Plus 60 Club, and a former member of Davenport Moose Lodge.
He served in the Navy at Pearl Harbor, Guadacanal and Midway and was honorably discharged in 1944.
He was a faithful volunteer at Iowa Masonic Health Facility for a number of years and was an accomplished mechanic. He enjoyed working on his cars and always looked forward to planting his garden in the Spring and tending his tomatoes and other vegetables.
Memorials may be made to the Iowa Masonic Healthcare Facility, Bettendorf, IA.
He is survived by his wife, Enid, daughter and son-in-law Cathy and Bill Odom, Bettendorf, his sons and daughters-in-law Clifford and Gayle Cirillo, Washington, IL, Edward Cirillo, Bellevue, IA, Basil and Michelle Cirillo, Bettendorf, Gary Cirillo, Seattle, WA, and Francis and Tammy Cirillo, Colorado Springs, CO; 17 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and his sisters Catherine, Rose and Loretta all in Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his son SMSGT John Joseph Cirillo on 9 Mar 2001, his sisters Theresa and Mary and his brother Patsy.
