LaVere graduated from Petoskey High School in 1959. He was active in Future Farmers of America and played football throughout all 4 of his high school years.
Lavere was a veteran of the Viet Nam War.

He was born April 8, 1940. He lived with his Uncle Albert and Aunt Marie in Petoskey, MI. His aunt and uncle were employed 27 years by the Curtis Family who lived at the top of Lockwood Avenue. Lavere and his younger sister Marla visited the Curtis Mansion when they were children.

OBITUARY EXCERPT

Lavere C. Luebke, 65, was a former Petoskey, Michigan resident. He was the brother of Mrs. Ronald (Marla) Stoneham of Charlevoix. He died May 24, 2005, in Mayfield, Ky. A memorial service was held Saturday, May 28, at his home in Mayfield. Arrangements were handled by Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield.

LaVere was intered at St. Jerome Cemetery in Fancy Farm, Kentucky. He’s survived by Thresa; Jack and his wife, Betty; Stoneham and her husband, Ron; and Chris Luebke. His Uncle Alberts obituary is 7974022 and is also on Find=A-Grave.
