Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Franchise Missionary Baptist Church with his father, Rev. Dr. Raymond Cochran, Pastor, Eulogist. Burial will follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, AL. Visitation is today, Tuesday, June 1, 2010 from 1:00 - 8:00 p.m. with a family hour from 6 - 7 p.m. according to Taylor Funeral Home. Rev. Cochran was born June 9, 1959 in Valley, Alabama to Mary Cochran and Dr. Raymond Cochran, both of Phenix City, AL. He was a retired pastor and member of the Christian Methodist 5th Episcopal Conference. Rev. Cochran pastured churches in Phenix City, AL, Birmingham, AL, Prattville, AL and Mobile, AL. He also served in the United States Army. Other than his parents, he is survived by his wife, Levonia Cochran; stepson, Reginald Thomas of Phenix City, AL; one brother, Raymond (Sonya) Cochran, Jr. of Columbus, GA; six sisters, Juanita (Rodney) Bugg of Tyrone, GA, Lisa (Guy) Brown and Betty (Michael) King, both of Phenix City, AL, Esther Walker of Stone Mountain, GA, Gloria Knapp of Atlanta, GA, and Janet (Dave) Dixon of Upatoi, GA; grandmother, Lucille Cochran of Salem, AL; two grandchildren, Ashley Thomas of Phenix City, AL and Jalen Thomas of Opelika, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
