She was born to Jeff and Willie Sams on Feb. 7, 1926, in Miller County, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd "Buddy" Swinney; one son, Billy Ray Swinney; one sister, Juana Harrington and husband Burl; and two brothers, Buron Sams and wife Virginia, Billy Sams and wife Muriel.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Wayne Swinney and wife Carolyn of Sinton; two brothers, J.B. Sams, Kenneth Sams and wife Melba, both of Doddridge, Ark.; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted on Thursday, July 8, at 10:30 a.m. at Olive Branch Methodist Church.
Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery in Miller County, Ark.
Pallbearers will be Billy Dale Sams, David Sams, Ronnie Sams, grandson Billy Wayne Swinney, Neil Ponthier and Howard Earl George.
