Mr. Abraham G. Davenport, about 75 years old, was found dead in his bed, Monday morning. He had, for five or six years been a great sufferer from rheumatism and with great difficulty could get about. His death was unexpected and a shock to his many friends. "Uncle Ham", as he was familiarly called was in good financial circumstances, owning the large farm on which he resided, between Cornishville and Dugansville, had it well stocked, and money in the bank. He leaves four children, Mr. William Davenport, Mrs. E. Voris, Mrs. Robert Self and Miss Laura Davenport. His wife died years ago. He was the father of the two Messrs. Davenport that were killed several years since by young Herron at Cornishville.
