An alumna of Alexandria High School and the University of Minnesota and a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, Gayle became a stewardess for Pan American Airways based in Miami and San Francisco. While living in San Francisco she met her husband William Chorske who is also a graduate of the University of Minnesota. They were married in 1963 and lived in Minneapolis when her husband was a senior executive at Medtronic. Most of their married life was spent on the East Coast & Brussels, Belgium.
Gayle's husband Bill survives her as do their three children, Anne C. Stuzin of Baltimore, MD; Matthew J. Chorske of Littleton, CO; Michael W. Chorske of New York City. She leaves seven grandchildren, and beloved niece and nephew, Elizabeth C. Jensen and Thomas P. Chorske, both of Edina, MN. She is survived by three brothers, Robert Osterberg, Duluth, MN; Steven Osterberg and Charles Osterberg, both of Grand Rapids, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Woodstock, VT on Friday, March 12th.
She is buried in Woodstock. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gayle's memory to the Gayle Chorske Memorial Fund, c/o The Gayle & William Chorske Family Foundation, 198 Garvin Hill Road, Woodstock, VT 05091.
