GRAY JR., JAMES H., 61, died at his home in Woodstock, Vermont on Tuesday evening, August 2, 2005. He was born on November 15, 1943 in Miami, Florida, the son of James Sr. and Clara Lunette (Hall) Gray. Following his primary education in Miami, Mr. Gray graduated from the University of Florida and then the University of Miami Law School. He married Joy Roberts on December 21, 1968. Mr. Gray practiced law for over 35 years. He was a partner at the Alldredge and Gray Law Firm in Miami for a number of years. In 1989, the Grays moved to Woodstock, Vermont and in 1994. Mr. Gray became a partner at Shillen, Gray and Mackall Law Office. Mr. Gray was a member of the Vermont Bar Association, the Vermont Trial Lawyers Association. Among other contributions to the greater Woodstock Community, he was a board member of the Mertens House in Woodstock. Mr. Gray was very interested in stamp collecting and history. He enjoyed golfing and running. Mr. Gray is survived by his wife, Joy Roberts Gray of Woodstock, VT; his father, James Sr. of Woodstock, VT; his brother-in-law and wife, Lee and Tammy Roberts; 3 nieces, Becky Roberts Pineo, Liz Roberts-White, and KyLee April; and a nephew, Shawn Jonathan Roberts. He is predeceased by his mother. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 8, 2005 at 3:00 PM at the St. James Episcopal Church in Woodstock, Vermont. Rev. Douglas Moore will officiate. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the International Myeloma Foundation, 12650 Riverside Drive, Suite 206, North Hollywood, CA 91607-3421.
