He was born in Galivants Ferry, a son of the late Eddie Morris and Addie Smith Richardson.
Mr. Richardson was employed by Pee Dee Farms Corp. for 54 years. He was a member of Galivants Ferry Baptist Church and a member of Woodmen of the World.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Richardson; two sons, Ed Richardson Jr. and Ronnie Richardson, both of Myrtle Beach; four daughters, Margie Hewitt of Myrtle Beach, Judy Graham of Galivants Ferry, Debby Eichholz of Socastee and Vickie Walters of Murrells Inlet; three sisters, Leila Huggins of Baltimore, Cappie Smith of Marion and Laura Elliott of Kennesaw, Ga.; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7-9 tonight at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel, and at the home in Socastee on Kama Lane.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
