Mrs. Margaret Jane Meadows Rich, 401 Barthes St, a resident of Biloxi for 55 years, died Tuesday morning in Howard Memorial Hospital at Biloxi, where she had been a patient for 13 weeks.
A native of Columbia, Mrs. Rich was a retired clerk with the J.C. Penney Co. She was a member of the North Side Assembly of God Church in Biloxi and a past president of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
The widow of Henry Randolph Rich, she is survived by two sons, Charles Douglas Rich, Greenville, S.C and Donald Lester Rich Ocean Springs; a daughter, Mrs. Alberta G. Bethel, Sterling Heights, Mich; three brothers, J.D. Meadows, Columbia, Clarence Meadows, Gulfport, and Riley Meadows, Pensacola; six sisters, Mrs. Minnie Frye, Mrs. Cora Didsbury and Mrs. Maybelle Monk, Biloxi, Mrs. Mary Wallace, Laurel, Mrs. Jewel Mobley, Pensacola and Mrs. Irene McDaniels, Foxworth, Miss; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Thursday form 6 to 10 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Biloxi.
The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Southern Memorial Park
