OBITUARY---
Spencer L. Aldrich, 71, RD 1,McDononough,
died in Chenango Memorial Hospital Friday
morning. He is survived by his wife, Mrs.
Bessie Muhtare Aldrich, McDonough; six
daughters,Mrs, Samuel (Ruth) Mroz,
McDonough, Mrs. Donald (Florence) Genung,
Clearwater, Fla., Mrs. Robert (Irma) Davis,
Wilttler, Cal.,Mrs. Andy (Rena) Gracin, Mrs.
Albert (Elanore) JVUrablto, both of Norwich,
Mrs. Lyle(Olive) Storges, -Jr., East
Pharsalia;three sons, Ray Aldrich, McDonough,
Harry Aldrich, Clearwater, Fla., Elmer Aldrich,
Oxford; two step-daughters, Mrs. Chris Burke,
New Berlin, Mrs. Harry Orleman, Warner
Robbins, Ga.; ten grandsons; ten
granddaughters;eight cousins.
He was born In East Pharasalia. He served
as supervisor forthe town of McDonough
from 1930 to 1936. He also served as tax
collector and assessor in McDonough for
several years. At the time of his death,
he was assessor for the town of Pharsalia.
He operated a farm in McDonough all of his
life until retiring in 1961.
Funeral and committal services
will be held from the Robert J. Fahy
Funeral Home, Norwich, Sunday at 2 p. m.
The Rev. Robert Marks, rector of Calvary
Episcopal Church -of McDonough will officiate.
Burial will be in McDonough Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the
funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m.
