Emile Frank, Treasurer of Excelsior Club, Was Widely Known
Emile Franck, for fourteen years treasurer of the Excelsior club, will be buried at 2:30 p. m. today.
He was born in Paris forty four years ago, and there served an apprenticeship as a cook. He came to America when he attained his majority and fpr some time filled the post of caterer in several hotels on Philadelphia. He was brought to this city my the members of the Excelsior club, and has remained with them ever since.
Mr. Franck was one of the best known caterers in the state. He had charge of a number of Chamber of Commerce banquets and diners of outlying towns, in addition to his duties in the club.
He was a genial man and was widely known outside of his profession. His death was the result of shock from an operation performed on Wednesday at the Cleveland General Hospital.
He leaves a widow and three small sons (sic). A short prayer will be said over the remains at his late residence at No. 52 Beach street and the funeral will be conducted at Mayfield Chapel by Rabbi Gries.
