Leon was a Moore Business Forms retiree and passed away at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford Springs, CT after a brief illness at age 84. He retired in 1983 after working as a research Technician at Moore Business Forms in Niagara Falls, NY. Previous to that he worked for 25 years at the Cornell Aeronautical Laboratories in Cheektowaga, NY as a Machinist Model Maker. Leon moved to Stafford Springs in 1984 and was a member of the Stafford Springs Congregational Church. He was a past president of the Golden Age club and enjoyed woodworking and walking his dog, Moe. At the time of his death he was survived by his wife of 62 years, the former Alice Scoville: Three sons, Robert of Bemidji, MN., Joseph A. of Stafford Springs, CT., Timothy S. of Branford, CT: One daughter, Sylvia D. Taub of Syracuse, NY: One brother, Jerome of Turkey, 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. The funeral was held at the Introvigne Funeral Home in Stafford Springs on Feb. 21, 2002.
