Memorial services for Laretha Buttolph, age 68, of Osage, Iowa, were held on Monday, May 22, 2006, at the United Church of Christ in Osage, with Rev. Robert Melhorn officiating. Inurnment was at the Riverside Cemetery in Riceville, Iowa.

Laretha died Friday, May 19, 2006, at Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage.

Laretha was born April 8, 1938, at home, in McIntire, Iowa, the daughter of Clinton and Purley (Betts) Buttolph. She attended school in Riceville. Laretha worked as a waitress in Charles City and Osage. She also worked as a nurse's aide, for 14 years at the Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, and for 17 years at the Faith Home. Laretha was very devoted to her parents, and was their main caregiver.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, and three brothers.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sisters: LeAngell Hickle of Manly, Iowa, and Leota (Joe) Jensen of Albert Lea, Minnesota.

Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home of Osage, Iowa, was in charge of arrangements (641)732-3706.
