Christi Lynn Chaney Seitz, age 41, of Berryville, AR went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 23, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born August 8, 1969 at Harrison, the daughter of Don and Mary Moore Chaney. Christi attended Berryville Public Schools where she graduated in 1987. She went on to graduate from Fayetteville Beauty College in 1988.
On May 12, 1990, Christi was united in marriage with Dale Seitz. Mere facts do not begin to capture the vibrant life that was Christi Chaney. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She loved outdoor activities such as floating the river, fishing, planting flowers, watching "the kids" sports events and taking care of her animals.
Christi worked at "Mary's" (with her mother) a number of years before opening "Rapids Beauty Parlor" a few years ago, in her home. She took great pride in her work and was always keenly aware of her customers needs.
She is survived by husband Dale Seitz; son, Hunter Seitz and daughter Chaney Seitz, all of the home; parents, Don and Mary Chaney; one brother, Brad Chaney and wife Dan; and grandmother Johnny Moore, all of Berryville; nephews, Cole and Will Chaney, Dustin Fortner and brother-in-law David Seitz. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Fred and Alma Chaney and Richard Moore.
Celebration Of Life Services will be 10 a.m., August 26, 2010 at Berryville Assembly of God Church. Steve Smith, Rick Smith and Pastor Keith Butler will officiate. Interment following at Berryville Cemetery. Visitation 6-8 p.m., Wednesday evening at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest.
