Sister of Elmer, John Jr., Josiah, Allen, Mehitable (Mrs. Leonard Studley brother to Alfred), and Anthony.
OBITUARY:
Studley, Maria Megathlin, Barnstable Patriot Monday, April 9,1900, page 3.
Death of Mrs. Studley.
On Thursday morning, April 5th, Mrs. Maria Studley died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Daniel B. Taylor. Mrs. Studley was aged 82 years, 1 month, 19 days, but until her recent illness was an active, cheerful woman and appeared much younger. When attacked by the grippe however, her advanced age counted strongly against her and the work of the malady was short and fatal.
Funeral services were held at Mrs. Taylor’s at 1:30 P. M. yesterday, Rev. Mr. Bennett of Hyannis officiating, after which the remains were conveyed to No. Harwich for interment.
Though a native of Harwich Mrs. Studley had resided in West Yarmouth for the past twenty years and leaves a goodly circle of friends here who regret her loss. She also leaves a large number of relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Taylor wish through the columns of the Patriot to thank the friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted them during the sickness of Mrs. Studley. Also the singers and the pastor and all who assisted with the funeral.
