Coroner Lemon yesterday held an inquest upon the body of John M. Meriwether, aged 70 years, who died suddenly at his home in Mooresville. Mr. Meriwether was born in Jefferson county, Kentucky, and moved to Mooresville many years ago. Lately he has lived alone in a house near that of his son, and it has been the custom of his daughter to prepare his meals. Yesterday morning when she went to the house she found the old man lying upon the floor dead. He had arisen and built a fire, after building it dropped dead from heart disease.
