Maude was born in 1889 in Lauderdale Co. Alabama.Her Mom was Jennie Howard Wallace, and her Dad was Ned Columbus Wallace. Jennie died about 2 weeks after Maude was born. Maud married a Ben Rice in Florence,Al. in 1912.Don't know what happened to that marriage , and later she married a Mr. Watts about 1919 and lived in McCloud, Oklahoma where they had a girl Katie, and 3 boys, William, Earnest, and Glenn Watts. Mr. Watts walked away from his family in 1925/6 and went back to his home in Iowa where his first wife lived, dying approx. 1967, and then she married Charles W. Whallon about 1926,and lived in Chandler ,Ok. and had Charles W. Whallon-Cole, Marylou who died at 1 1/2 of pneumonia, and Jimmy Dale Whallon-Schmitt.... Mr.C.W. Whallon died when she was pregnant with Jimmy. Maude had a nervous breakdown and the 4 Watts and 2 Whallon children were put in Whittiaker State Orphanage in Pryor, Ok. Glenn Watts and C.W.Whallon were adopted out to the Berkenmeirs and the Coles. She last married a Mr. J.T.Kinkade, and died when they lived in Waldron,Arkansas in 1942.Mr.Kinkade moved to Kern Co. where Bill and Glenn lived. Her headstone was put in the cemetery by us in 2002.
