Son of William and Matilda Yarnall Williamson
Obituary; Isaac Williamson Shirley Indiana, age 83, a pioneer resident of the community and veteran of the Civil War, died at the home of his son-in-law, Rev O.C. Beeson, Tuesday night at 9 o'clock, from a complication of diseases. Amos, Charles, Robert Williamson, sons, Mrs Beeson, Mrs William Judge and Mrs William Jackson, daughters, survive. The funeral will be held at the Friends Church Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Burial will be made at Glen Cove Cemetery at Knightstown.

Isaac Williamson died at the home of his daughter, Mrs O C Beeson, just south of Shirley in the 84th year of his age. Services were held at the Friends Church, Rev O C Beeson officiating, and interment was made in the Glen Cove Cemetery, Knightstown.

Mr Williamson was a native of West Chester Co. Pennsylvania. but at a very young age he came with his parents to Stark County, Ohio, where he lived until his 21st year.
At that time he came to Henry County and married Miss Abashaba H Coon on February 1, 1857, who preceded him to that distant bourne in 1914. To this union were born nine children, 3 boys and 6 girls; Amos who lives just south of Shirley, Mrs William Judge who lives north of Shirley, Mrs O C Beeson and Mrs W A Jackson, both of whom live south of Shirley, Mrs Joe Wilson, near Willow Branch, Robert E of Granite City, Ill, Charles O of Shirley, Mrs Ron Hamilton of New Castle, and Mrs Paul Marner(sic, should be Mrs Paul Maines) of Utica, Ohio.

In 1858 Mr Williamson moved to Rock Island, Ill, but, after one year moved back to Shirley. In 1882 he moved to Hancock Co, and in 1886 he gave up farming and moved to Maple Valley, where he lived until 1912 when he moved to
Shirley.

He served in the 42nd Indiana Infantry during the last year of the Civil War and was honorably discharged at the end of the year.
