Mr. Harvard J. Atcheson, age 81, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away December 24, 2006 at WellStar Paulding Sub-Acute.

Mr. Atcheson was born September 18, 1925 in Paulding County, Georgia, son of Sexton Richard and MaryLou Gladys Bowman Atcheson. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church and worked as an Instrument Technician for Lockheed.

Survivors include his sons, Mr. and Mrs. Steve (June) Atcheson of Dallas and Mr. Jeff Atcheson of Dallas; daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Joe (Susan) Bickers of Dallas and Mrs. Pam Taylor of Waskom, TX; grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Steve (Cynthia) Novak of Dallas, Mr. and Mrs. Rodney (Tammy) Atcheson of Dallas, Mr. and Mrs. Craig (Monique) Carruth of Buchanan, Mr. and Mrs. James (Joni) Embrey of Dallas and Miss Annie Beth Atcheson of Stockbridge; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Doyal (Mary) Atcheson and Mr. and Mrs. Leroy (Mary Alice) Atcheson of Dallas and sister, Mrs. Jewell Lawrence of Dallas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Willa Dean Atcheson; son, Mr. Michael Atcheson and sister, Mrs. Mary Alice Freeman.

Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at 11:00 AM in Benson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Bowman and Rev. Merle Barron officiating.

Interment followed in Paulding Memroial Gardens. Pallbearers were Jessie Lawrence, James Embrey, Craig Carruth, Rodney Atcheson, Travis Atcheson, and Kenny Ford.

Benson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
