WALTER G. SCHWEHN, 81, of Ossian, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., he lived in Fort Wayne for 55 years. He served in the Army in Korea. He was in sales at Lincoln National Life Insurance Company for 35 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of Peach Lutheran Church, Past President of Concordia Educational Foundation and was on the Board of Lutheran Social Services Agency.

Surviving are his wife, Gloria; daughters, Julia A. (Lee) Braselton of Ossian and Jane E. (John) Wiehe of Fort Wayne; son, C. John (Amy) Schwehn of Fort Wayne; sisters, Mary Hafner of Indian Trail, N.C. and Martha Clapp of Columbia City; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral service is 2 p.m. Sunday at Peace Lutheran Church, 4900 Fairfield Ave. Visitation is from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road.
