Rose Aresco,, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully Saturday August 7th at Middlesex Health Care. She was born July 26, 1912 in Portland, daughter of the Late Emanuel and Carmelina ( Rosano) Sbona and had lived in Portland many years until moving to Middletown in 1956. She is survived by a Son and daughter in law Sebastian and Patricia Aresco of Middletown. A daughter in Law Nancy Aresco of Barefoot Bay Fla. Five beloved grandsons Michael Aresco and his wife Jacki of Middletown, Chris Aresco of Meriden, Scott Aresco of Middletown, Timathy Aresco and his wife Linda of Portland and Todd Aresco and his wife Mindy of Portland, Six Great grandchildren Felicia and Adam Aresco, Nicholas Aresco, Christina Aresco, Anthony and Todd Aresco. Two sisters Connie Bonacorso of Australia and Santina Sokol of Middletown. Also many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Sebastian Michael Aresco, A Son Anthony, A Brother Michael Sbona. Two sisters Mary Fazzino and Angelina Aresco. Rose's greatest joy was her family. She always enjoyed helping out the family and enjoyed family gatherings. She took great pride in keep her home meticulous, she could always be found cleaning. In earlier years she enjoyed playing Pokino with her sisters and winning. She was a great lady who will be missed by all. Funeral Services will be held Thursday morning at 9 A.M,. from the D'Angelo Funeral Home 22 South main St followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St Sebastian Church. Burial will be in the family plot in St. Sebastian cemetery, Middlefield. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral Home Weds from 5-7 P.M.
