Constance M. Scheve (Greenwood) age 94, formerly of Riverside, OH passed away on Friday, August 6, 2010 at the Liberty Nursing Center in Xenia, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gustave H. Scheve, Jr. in 1993, grandson, Howard William Scheve, Jr. in 2002, great- grandson, Brandon Scheve and a great- great- grandson, Brennyn Hall in 2010. Her daughter, Constance Delores Dohner passed away in 2014.
Constance is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gustave H.,111 and Betty Scheve, of AL, Howard W., Sr. and Sandra Royers-Scheve, of Beavercreek, Ohio, a daughter and a son-in-law, Janet Ryan of Beavercreek, Ohio and David Dohner of Rochester, N.Y. 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She never went by her first name, answering only to Mary. She named her first daughter also Constance, who apparently also did not appreciate the name and went also by her middle name, Delores. Mary's youngest son, Howard, was a high school basketball captain at Stebbins High School for four years, and played football for one. During all those years of playing for his school and being honored at Parents' Night, for four years he stood alone with neither parent attending. She attended one of his games over his four years of play.
She did have one interest that she attended regularly, and that was her Recovery group.
She was once a member and leader at Recovery, Inc. She was also a former member of the Overlook Senior Citizens and had been employed by several area department stores.
There was no funeral. Her ashes will be placed in Woodland Cemetery Mausoleum in the Scheve section when another death occurs.
