William Harold Bish was the son of William Teter Bish 1870-1936 and Grace C Rearick Bish 1889-1966. He went by the name Harold.

Paternal grandparents: John Dieter Bish 1846-1924 and Maria Jane Young Bish 1852-1872.

On August 15, 1936 Harold married Dorothy Marie Panciera 1915-2007, they were the parents of Dennis H Bish.

Harold entered the service from Pennsylvania with a rank of Private in the U S Army 30th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division and was killed Monday, October 2, 1944 in France while serving with the U.S. Army during World War II.

Before entering the service, Harold worked at Hanley Brick in Summerville, Pa., after he was drafted Hanley Brick had their men deferred because fire brick was important for the war effort.

Harold served in Army Intelligence and was killed in action behind enemy lines in France in 1944 at the age of 33. Harold was missing in action for 9 months before being declared dead. Harold left behind his wife, Dorothy and 3 year old son Denny.

He is buried at Epinal American Cemetery in Epenal Vosges, Lorraine Region, France.

He received the Purple Heart
