115 Squadron's Vickers Wellington III (#BJ893) bomber aircraft, with an aircrew of six, took off from RAF Marham for a night-time air operation over Saarbrücken, Germany. It is thought that BJ893 was shot down, crashing near Flize in France, taking the lives of the entire crew.
