Wellington III X3597 Took off 16:55hrs. on the 16 Nov 1942 from East Wretham to lay mines in the Furze region (St Jean De Luz) off Bayonne. Four are buried in French cemeteries while Sgt Morris has no known grave. Flight Sergeant D G H Johnson (RCAF), Sergeant T Gill: killed; Sergeant T Clarke, Sergeant J L Watkinson (RCAF), Sergeant A Morris: missing believed killed; Wellington X3597, 115 Squadron, aircraft failed to return from an operational flight, 16 November 1942.
