"Willie" C. age 5, is listed on the 1900 Federal Census living in Carlton, Yamhill County, Oregon, with parents, Nels and Mary, and four siblings: Lillie M. age 12, Albert S. age 9, Rosa T. age 3, and Victor A. age 1. William is still listed with family(minus Lillian who has married (Winfield Pierson) on the 1910 census at age 16. He married Abigail Stevens, the daughter of William N. and Margaret E. Stevens, on July 20, 1914 in Yamhill. Their son, Clarence Marion Nelson, died at the age of three years, eleven months, 18 days after colon surgery, from bronchial pneumonia on January 18th, 1919 and is also buried in Yamhill Cemetery. Willie died at the age of 25 years, 10 month and 13 days from pumonary tuberculosis which was exacerbated by the flu. They had moved to Bend, OR one month before his death. His occupation was book keeper for the local bank.
