Mr. Krech was the son of Johann Heinrich Krech and Johanna Margaretha Arnert Krech, both of Themar, Germany. Mr. Krech immigrated to the area from Themar in 1865 at the age of 15, arriving in New York on the Ship Bremen. He married first Sarah Glover, after her death in1885 he married Margaret Copeland. He was the father of seven children.
