Lieutenant Junior Grade Philip Owen Robinson was born on March 23, 1938 and was an Unrestricted Line Officer (Surface Warfare) who had 3 years of service in the U.S. Navy, arriving in Vietnam assigned to 16th Republic of Vietnam Coastal Group, Naval Advisory Group Vietnam, U.S. Navy.
On March 25, 1966 LTJG Philip Robinson was killed action and died outright from hostile small arms fire in Quang Ngai Province, South Vietnam. LTJG Robinson was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star for his heroic actions that day.
