Mr. Womble was born September 1, 1931, in Norfolk, Virginia, son of the late Charlie William Thomas Womble and Helen Marie Johnston Womble. He was a home-builder and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Mr. Womble is survived by his wife, Maryanna Paul Womble; a son, Charles Womble Jr. and wife Fran of Lexington; three daughters, Yvonne Harrell and husband Donald, Toni Rouse and husband Randall and Roberta Weaver, all of Pinetops; a sister, Mary Deborah Johnson and husband John of New Egypt, New Jersey; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
