Rosella M. Lewis, 82

Rosella Marie Lewis, 82, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at St. Mark's Lutheran Home in Austin.

She was born June 2, 1922, to Henry K. and Emelie M. (Jacob) Dreyer in Kossuth County, Iowa. She attended schools in Iowa and Austin.

On Oct. 8, 1943, she married James Mack Lewis in Oakland, Calif. and worked in the California shipyards.

After moving to Austin, Rosella worked a number of years for Hormel Foods and, in later years, at the Gerard House.

She enjoyed spending time with family, playing bingo and fishing. She was also active in her church.

Survivors include her children, Sandra (Peter) Haffner, Minneapolis; James (Carol) Lewis, Mankato; Patrick (Linda) Lewis, Winona; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Henry (Marian) Dreyer, Albuquerque, N.M.; sister, Lois (George) Pickett, Waukon Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, four sisters and a granddaughter.

Visitation: One hour before the service at the church.
Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 2100 16th St. SW, Austin.
Interment: Grandview Cemetery.
Funeral Home: Worlein Funeral Home, Austin.
Memorials: To donor's choice or to the church.
