BROWNWOOD - Gary O. Edwards, 96, of Early died Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998, in Austin. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Bee House Cemetery east of Evant in Coryell County. Arrangements are by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
He was born Jan. 16, 1902, in Edith and had been a resident of Early since 1980, moving from San Angelo. He was a member of the Angelo Heights Methodist Church in San Angelo.
Survivors include three sons, WILLIAM "BILL" EDWARDS of Seattle, GARY O. "G. O." EDWARDS JR. of San Angelo and JACK EDWARDS of Austin; seven daughters, Melba Rogers of Fort Worth, Maola Rainey of Ripley, Miss., and Alene Easley and Dottie Edwards both of Taylor, JOYCE (EDWARDS) JONES of Austin, JUDY (EDWARDS) WILLIAMS of Early and JILL (EDWARDS) HALE of Austin; 29 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
