Richard W. Van Brunt, a former principal of the Putnam High School, and retired Florida educator, died Wednesday at his home in Fernandina. He was a native of Tallahassee and was 65 years of age. He served as principal of the Palatka, Ocala, Fernandina and other high schools.
Funeral services and burial were held yesterday afternoon in Fernandina. (Palatka Times-Herald Obituary dtd Friday, 7 Feb 1941.)
