Notes on the changes of this memorial…
I had originally received a suggestion request on August 13, 2014 from
Clarice Courneya to update Joseph W. Andrews middle name to William. To add date of birth as May 7th 1836 in Euclid, Cuyahoga County, Ohio and date of death as October 12th, 1920, and to link Susan Andrews as his spouse.
On July 3, 2023 I received a suggestion request from Theresa Fuller-Ditmore to amend his birthdate to April 6th 1899 in Mentor, Lake County, Ohio, the date of death as September 24, 1901. To update his parents to Ora Andrews and Dora Andrews and to remove Susan as his spouse.
This would make Joseph 2 years old when he passed.
From 1998 until 2003 the Lake County Genealogy Society did a survey of all the cemeteries in Lake County. They noted that the stone was listed as Joseph W Andrews noting that it was a "hard to read" limestone. Stones for the survey were recorded in order of walking the section, counting only the stones. Susan Andrews and Joseph W. Andrews are next to each other in walking order. Plots that do not have a marker would not be listed. The stone is definitely older looking than the Susan's from 1914 and was nearly unreadable when I took the picture in 2010.

Dora Dixon Andrews Interred 5/4/1916 Section 05 lot 017 grave 9 died in Mentor (mother of Joseph W. Andrews, daughter-in-law of William and Susan… I did not document a marker in 2010 and is not listed on LCGS survey)
Joseph W. Andrews Interred 1/1/1901 Section 05 lot 017 grave 10
Theresa has added birth and death documents in the photo section of Joseph W Andrews. The internment is list as 1/1/1901, more than 9 months prior to Joseph passing away on 9/24/1901 I would guess that is an error on the cemetery's part. The cemetery directory does not list date of birth for Joseph.
1900 census for Ora Andrews list a "wife" and "son" age 1, but neither by name.
