Hyrum Smith Moody, 79, of 11 Old Dunham Bridge Road, died Sunday, March 10, 2002.

He was the husband of Eva Barnwell Moody and a son of the late William Virgil Moody and Julia Von Hollen Moody.

Mr. Moody retired from Walker & Whiteside Co., and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

In addition to his wife he is survived by a brother, Alma Von Hollen Moody, of Greenville; and a sister, Vivian Anita Smith, of California

He was predeceased by two sisters, Leila Estes and Mary V. Long; and a brother, Elmoe Moody.

The family will receive friends from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. Wednesday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 400 Farrs Bridge Road. Funeral services will begin at noon. Bishop Gary J. Kinzler will conduct the service. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. - Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
