Betty Ruth Verdin Few, 84, formerly of 3 Court Street, widow of Carlton Lanford Few, died February 4, 2008, at Magnolia Place of Greenville.

A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late William Ben and Ruth Foster Verdin, she was a homemaker and a member of Lee Road United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Debbie Few of Greer; and three grandchildren, Tyler Jones Few and Tiffany Nicole Truett, both of Greer, and Justin Christopher Few of Greenville.

Mrs. Few was predeceased by a brother, J.T. Verdin.

Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Thursday at the Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Andy Hunter and Rev. Cindy Swofford. Entombment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Wood Mortuary. The families are at their respective homes.

Memorials may be made to Lee Road United Methodist Church, 1377 East Lee Road, Taylors, SC 29687 or Samaritan Care Hospice, 500 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
