Ben Dodson, 82, a long time Cleveland County resident, died early today at his home, 222 E. Mosier St., after an extended illness.


The retired farmer was born April 29, 1873, in Jackson County, MO., and moved to Noble about 48 years ago and to Norman about nine years ago. He was a member of the Central Church of Christ.


Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the chapel with burial in the IOOF Cemetery, Noble. J.E. Belcher of the Church of Christ will conduct the services.


Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Dodson of the home; four sons, Albert Dodson of Clarita; Jack Dodson of Jasper, Ind.; Jim Dodson of Norman and Harold Dodson, 602 Rancho Dr.; and two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Crocker of Oklahoma City and Mrs. Maude Taylor of Grandview, MO. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
