I thank God everyday for placing her in my life. Miss Shirley as I continued to call her throughout her life, was a cornerstone in my unstable young life. I still to this day tell my wonderful Dad how glad I am that her married her!
When I had her first granddaughter you would have never known she was not her true blood she was her true heart. Grandma was so proud of that baby. She taught me the meaning of true unconditional love.
If Miss Shirley cared for you she would call you "Shug". She was a beautiful soul that loved beyond & above.
Upon her retirement from Murray Biscuit Company, they sold their home & moved to Clark Hill Lake. She LOVED to fish & loved to watch us her children & grandchildren catch a fish from their dock or boat. I can still her saying with more enthusiasm than any coach "Get em, get em!" If you couldn't reach her on the phone 9 out 10 times it was because she was on the dock fishing.
Miss Shirley left us suddenly while hospitalized for heart disease a few days before her favorite time of the year, Christmas.
Miss Shirley was my Daddy's true soul mate & he still mourns for her to this day.
Special heartfelt thanks to Noname (#47160738) for sponsoring this memorial.
~~To anyone who leaves flowers or tokens THANK YOU & may you be blessed by our precious Lord~~
