Ardmore, OK — Rose Jewel Robinson, 89, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Services will be Saturday, July 17, 2010, at 10 a.m., at Mary Niblack Baptist Church, Ardmore, Oklahoma, with Pastor Timothy Ball officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Ardmore, Oklahoma.
Jewel was born July 5, 1921, in Mulberry, Arkansas, to Watson Garland and Caldonna (Bramer) Garland.
She married Claud Robinson on October 6, 1942, in San Francisco, California. Jewel was an active member in the Mary Niblack Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one grandson, Eugene Robinson.
Jewel is survived by her husband, Claud of the home; three sons, Floyd Robinson and wife, Nona, Harold Robinson and wife, Lou, and Richard Robinson and wife, Sandy, all of Ardmore; three grandchildren, Theresa Cox, Ellen Stearns, and Billy Robinson; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Goldie Robinson of Madill, Oklahoma; one brother, Truman Garland of Moore, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Serving as pallbearers are Mark Owens, Truman Owens, Jason Kimenk, Wilburn Robinson, Jimmy Wayne Robinson and Elwin Gene Robinson.
