Mrs. Emma Davis Hall, the beloved wife of Mr. W. D. Hall, died at 7 a.m. yesterday at the family residence on Greenville Sound, following an illness of some time. Mrs. Hall suffered a stroke of paralysis a few days ago and ever since had been declining rapidly.
The body was brought to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Philyaw, at Carolina Place, yesterday, and the funeral will be held from the residence at 11 o'clock this morning conducted by Rev. Dr. John M. Wells, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, of which the deceased was a member for a number of years.
She was a daughter of the late Mr. Samuel and Mrs. Rachel H. Davis, and is survived by her husband, two sisters, Mrs. A. P. Rose, of Covington, Ky., and Mrs. Eugene Philyaw, of Wilmington, and three brothers, Messrs. W. T. Davis, of Bostick, S. C.; Mr. S. J. Davis, of Wilmington, and Mr. George H. Davis, of Washington, D. C.
Following the services at the residence this morning the body will be tenderly borne to Oakdale cemetery, where the interment will be made.
