Mr. Gary Tony Dickinson, age 69 of Winfield, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2012, in the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Mr. Dickinson was born on May 1, 1942 the son of J.N. Dickinson and Johnnie Grey Parr Dickinson. He was an auto mechanic and a self employed painter for all of his working life. Tony is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sally Smith Dickinson of Winfield, sons, Tony Jr. and Shane Allen Dickinson, both of Winfield, Granddaughters, Tiffany Jade and Karlee Nichole Dickinson of Winfield, an uncle M.C. Dickinson of Florida, mother -in-law Eardeal Smith of the Hubbertville Community, and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends. Tony was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.N. and Emily Dickinson, and Boy and Euga Parr, parents J.N. and Johnnie Grey Parr Dickinson, a brother in law Jessie "Boss" Smith and father in law Arlon Smith. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 from the Bowen Funeral Home chapel with burial in Zion Baptist Church cemetery in Winfield. Dr. Charles Ballew officiating. Pallbearers were Shane Dickinson, Tony Jr.Dickinson, Roy Dickinson, Brett Burleson, Scott Welch, Shane Hughes, Jeremy Berryhill, and Steven Berryhill and Brent Brown.
