Cecil M. Jackson, 79, of Fort Wayne, a World War II Army veteran, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at VA Northern Indiana Health Care System. The Fort Wayne native was a retired truck driver and a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his wife, Johanna D.; a daughter, Shirley Bay of Fort Wayne; sons Melvin of Fort Wayne and James M. of Yoder; a sister, Doris Arnett of Fort Wayne; a brother, James of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, with calling one hour before services. Burial will be at Concordia Cemetery Gardens.
