The funeral of Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Collier was conducted at Bethel Presbyterian church Tuesday at 2 p.m., the officiating minister being Rev. George Fleming. Burial was in Bethel cemetery.

Mrs. Collier was 83 years old at the time of her death Monday, July 9, 1934, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. M. Williams, near Nevada. She was a native of Boyle county, the daughter of Ben and Harriet Neal Nichols, and was the widow of the late D. C. Collier, well known farmer.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. J. C. Pulliam Lexington, Ill.; Mrs. Dallas Robinson, Lancaster, and Mrs. J. M. Williams, Nevada, and four sons, J. H., G. W. and B. B. Collier, all of Mercer county; Pitts Collier, Hudson, Ill.; 35 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. William Semonis, Mercer county and three brothers, G. R., M. T. and J. T. Nichols, prominent farmers of the Dixville road section.

Pallbearers at her funeral were: Lee Robinson, Fred Devine, Evans Collier, Arthur McCrystal, Oswald McCrystal and Rev. Collier.
